Privacy policy

Simple Online Ruler keeps your calibration on your own device and uses only anonymized analytics. There are no accounts, and we do not sell your data.

What stays on your device

Your calibration settings (such as pixels-per-millimeter, preferred unit, and edge selection) are saved in your browser's local storage. They never leave your device and are not sent to us.

Analytics we use

We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how the tools are used through aggregated, anonymized metrics and session statistics. Clarity may set cookies and capture interaction data such as clicks and scrolling. We do not use it to identify you personally.

What we do not do

We do not require accounts, we do not ask for personal information to use the ruler, and we do not sell your data. The site has no login and stores no personal profiles.

Cookies

The core ruler works without advertising cookies. Analytics cookies set by Microsoft Clarity are used only to measure usage. You can block cookies in your browser settings without breaking the ruler.

Third-party services

Microsoft Clarity is operated by Microsoft and is governed by Microsoft's own privacy terms. Any advertising shown is subject to the relevant provider's policies.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we update the date below. Material changes will be reflected here rather than communicated individually, since the site has no accounts.
